Giants Lose Wide Receiver For Entire 2026 Season
During Tuesday’s training camp practice, wide receiver Calvin Austin III suffered a torn ACL in his right knee, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
After spending his first four years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Austin signed with the Giants in the offseason. Last season, he caught 31 passes for 372 yards and three touchdowns.
During a one-on-one drill with corner back Deonte Banks on Tuesday, Austin fell to the ground. Immediately, he grabbed his right knee
A cart was quickly called for by the Giants’ trainers. Before Austin was carted away, his teammates wished him well.
QBs, wide receivers, and defensive backs huddled in a circle for a lengthy prayer. Before Austin was taken away for further evaluation, Giants owner John Mara consoled him on the side field.
In this off-season, the Giants signed free agent Austin to a one-year deal. As a slot receiver, he figured to play an important role in the team’s offense this year.

In Austin’s absence, Braxton Berrios served as the slot receiver. Additionally, Odell Beckham Jr might be able to move in due to the injury.
Beckham appears to be on the roster bubble and has been working predominantly with the second-team offense. On Tuesday, he caught four passes in live drills, including two from Jaxson Dart. Darnell Mooney also had a great practice on Tuesday.
