Arsenal are ready to give Gabriel Martinelli permission to undergo an Al Hilal medical once the Brazilian reaches an agreement on personal terms with the Saudi Pro League club.
The winger’s representatives have returned to direct talks with Al Hilal after the two clubs verbally agreed a package worth more than €65million.
It leaves the player-side agreement as the major remaining hurdle before Martinelli can complete his Arsenal exit.
If a final agreement is reached, it will be up to Martinelli, who has already turned down Galatasaray, to decide whether he wants to play in the Saudi Pro League. 🇸🇦

Gabriel Martinelli agent in direct Al Hilal talks
Fabrizio Romano reports that Martinelli’s agent is back in direct contact with Al Hilal as negotiations continue over the contract being offered to the 25-year-old.
Arsenal and Al Hilal have already verbally agreed the transfer package, with the Gunners prepared to authorise Martinelli’s medical as soon as personal terms are settled.
talkSPORT reports that the agreement is worth around £49m plus another £7m in potential add-ons.
That would potentially make Martinelli Arsenal’s record sale, surpassing the £40m received from Liverpool for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2017.
The latest development represents another clear step forward after ReadArsenal reported on Monday that Al Hilal had submitted a £50m offer for Martinelli.
Arsenal exit now depends on Martinelli agreement
Martinelli’s position has changed significantly during the final weeks of the transfer window.
He initially preferred to remain in European football and rejected the opportunity to join Galatasaray despite the Turkish club making an offer.
However, Al Hilal opened negotiations with Arsenal after Martinelli became receptive to a move to Saudi Arabia.
The Brazilian has also been absent from Arsenal’s opening competitive squads this season as Mikel Arteta reshapes his attacking options.
The clubs have now done their part.
Attention turns to whether Martinelli and Al Hilal can complete the contractual agreement required for Arsenal to approve his medical and move the transfer towards completion.
