Chelsea are ready to make a last-ditch mega offer to sign Alex Scott as a replacement for Enzo Fernandez.

Bournemouth are adamant that Scott is not for sale after already turning down a £64m offer from Chelsea earlier in the window. But Chelsea remain keen on the 23-year-old midfielder and are ready to test Bournemouth’s resolve again as Scott is their No 1 target to replace Fernandez.

Chelsea have also looked at Real Madrid ’s Eduardo Camavinga but they have pursued Scott all summer and want to try and get him. Bournemouth have insisted they will not make any more sales and shifting that position now for one player would also put them at risk of a potential backlash from others.

Manchester City are targeting Chelsea midfielder Fernandez and are lining up a last-ditch bid to bring in the Argentina star. Chelsea are demanding £120m and have made it clear they want a replacement before they do business on Fernandez.

City are believed to be ready to meet Chelsea’s valuation and they are also aware that Fernandez is keen on a reunion with Enzo Maresca.

The Blues are also targeting a cut-price deal for Aston Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez who has been offered to Chelsea. Villa are ready to offload the World Cup winning keeper who is open to moving to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Scott is seen as one of English football’s top prospects and went with England’s pre World Cup training group to the United States. The former Bristol City starlet has previously turned down a new contract because he is clearly open to moving on this summer.

But Bournemouth regard him highly and in a very competitive market it would surely take a massive effort from Chelsea to get him out at this late stage.

However, Chelsea know that Fernandez is keen on City and a fresh challenge with Maresca who he worked with and enjoyed success with at Stamford Bridge.
