The 2025/26 season was a vindicating campaign for Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice. He joined the Gunners in 2023, turning down Manchester City with the intention of delivering major trophies to North London.
The Englishman did just that in May 2026, as Mikel Arteta's men won the Premier League for the first time since 2004. Unsurprisingly, as a result of their success, Arsenal stars dominated the PFA Team of the Year, with Rice and four more teammates – David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Jurrien Timber – included in the team.
Rice had to watch on as Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes was named the PFA Player of the Year, but his league title in his trophy cabinet will offer great comfort if there was any disappointment on that front. Eagle-eyed viewers would have spotted a rather fancy watch on the wrist of the Arsenal star during the awards, and details have now emerged about its extravagant cost.
As per GQ, the watch in question is a Richard Mille, RM 55-01 in white quartz. The model was only released in April, but Rice wasted no time in getting his hands on it, as he was also seen wearing it this summer on a yacht during his break after the 2026 World Cup.
GQ describes the watch as having a "monochrome palette of white, black and grey aligns with his monochrome fit." They also note that the RM, with an openworked movement suspended in the middle of the case, is "a refresh of a classic 2012 model made with the American golfer Bubba Watson."
Interestingly enough, Rice is not the only Premier League star to own the watch. The report also reveals that Manchester City ace Erling Haaland – who was also part of the PFA Team of the Year – wore the same model, in the exact same colour, during his own holidays last month.
It will come as no shock to learn that the RM costs a pretty penny. That said, most who aren't on a footballer's salary will find the £500,000 valuation (on the secondary market) rather eye-watering.

Very few can afford that sort of watch, but Rice and Haaland fall comfortably into that bracket thanks to their healthy wages. The Arsenal star is almost certainly in line for a new contract in the near future, but for now makes £240,000 every week on a deal which was signed in 2023 and ends in 2028.
That puts him behind the likes of Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bruno Guimaraes, and William Saliba on the wage bill at Arsenal, but Haaland makes more than all of them as the best-paid footballer in England.
The Man City ace makes a whopping £525,000 at the Etihad. With a pay packet like that, the Norwegian striker surely didn't have to save long to afford the RM 55-01.
