Crystal Palace have rejected an initial approach from Liverpool for Ismaila Sarr. Liverpool discussed a move for the 28-year-old as they continue their search for a right-sided winger.
However, Palace have made it clear they are not willing to sell the Senegal international. Following Brighton’s rejection of two bids for Yankuba Minteh, including a £60million offer, Liverpool have begun exploring alternative options.

Only an astronomical offer is likely to change Palace’s stance, with Liverpool unlikely to pursue a deal while other targets remain available. Liverpool are closing in on Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola, who prefers to operate on the left wing.
Sarr missed Palace’s opening-day defeat to Everton due to injury, with manager Pierre Sage later confirming that he expects the winger to remain at Selhurst Park.
“For the moment, yes,” Pierre Sage said. “When you have three years on your contract, it’s not easy to leave. I understand for everyone if you have this kind of contact it’s difficult because you hesitate a lot but for the moment he is with us, he is under contract.
“He is injured and maybe you can make a link between injury and the situation but for me he is honest. I spoke with him this morning and yesterday about that with him but we just want him on the pitch and all the rest is for other people.”
Sarr scored 21 goals for Crystal Palace last season across all competitions and was also the subject of interest from Galatasaray last week.
Liverpool are assessing all options ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline as they search for wide attackers, with the club hoping to make two signings before the window closes.
Cody Gakpo is attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. Liverpool are not open to selling the Dutchman at this stage and would likely need to sign two wingers before considering his departure.
