Liverpool have enjoyed a relatively quiet transfer window so far, but the Reds still have a few days to make a marquee signing.
Victor Munoz, Jeremy Jacquet and Ronald Araujo are Liverpool’s only additions, with Andoni Iraola strengthening the attack and centre-back positions following Ibrahima Konate’s departure.

With Mohamed Salah gone, a new winger remains Liverpool’s top priority, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola still a key target.
Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh was another option, while Liverpool also explored a move for Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr. However, Palace rejected their approach for the 28-year-old.
Liverpool have also been linked with Deportivo Cali midfielder Matias Orozco. The 18-year-old has attracted interest from several European clubs, including Brentford and Leeds United.
Liverpool scouts watched Orozco against Inter de Bogota on Sunday, while Deportivo Cali manager Rafael Dudamel confirmed the midfielder was close to moving to Europe without naming his destination.
“Negotiations are advanced for Matías Orozco to go to European football. There are details still to be completed,” Dudamel said.
“That’s why he, together with his family, his agents, the board and coaching staff, agreed that he could play today. We knew there was a lot of risk, but he also really wanted to be part of the team.”
Brighton now appear to have won the race. According to Sky Sports, the Seagulls have agreed a deal with Deportivo Cali for Orozco, with a fee of around £3.5million understood to have been negotiated.
The teenager has travelled from South America to complete the formalities, with a loan move expected as part of his development.
Orozco is a highly talented prospect with a bright future and could develop into an important player for Brighton with the right guidance.
While he may not be ready to make an immediate first-team impact, the club could gradually develop him into a regular starter in the coming seasons.
