GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst said the team is preparing for any possibility with uncertainty surrounding the status of running back Josh Jacobs.
Jacobs [was arrested in May](https://www.wbay.com/2026/05/26/josh-jacobs-arrested-domestic-abuse-charges/) on suspicion of domestic abuse, but no charges have been filed.
Gutekunst was asked if the team needs to keep more running backs on cut-down day Sunday in case Jacobs gets suspended.
“We’ve obviously been, you know, preparing for that in case that happens. But at the same time, I feel really good about the guys we’ve got in that room. And I think we could survive that,” Gutekunst said.
Action 2 News has reached out to the Brown County District Attorney to get an update on Jacobs’ case. There has been no response.
