There was two draws that took place on Wednesday night. The first decided where the Premier League clubs involved in Europe would be playing when they finally entered the competition in the third round.
Then the rest of the draw took place after the second round ties concluded.
Spurs, who had just beaten Charlton, were rewarded with a trip to Liverpool while the other standout tie sees Manchester United welcome Brighton to Old Trafford.
The ties will be played on the weeks commencing September 7th and September 14th.
