Liverpool have been drawn to face Tottenham at Anfield in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
As record 10-time winners, the Reds will be among the favourites for this year’s competition.
Tottenham will be Liverpool’s first opponents as they enter at the third round stage of the Carabao Cup.
The tie will be played at Anfield on September 15/16/17, and it will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports or ITV.
It falls between Premier League clashes with Fulham (H, Sep 12) and Bournemouth (A, Sep 20), before a three-week international break.
Tottenham‘s trip to Anfield will also provide a swift reunion with Andy Robertson, who left Liverpool in July before signing for Spurs as a free agent.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side have been particularly busy this summer including the £75 million acquisition of Man City winger Savio, who scored and assisted on his debut as Tottenham thrashed Charlton 5-1 in the second round.
Carabao Cup third round spread across two weeks

Since the introduction of the league phase of the Champions League, the Carabao Cup third round has been split across two midweeks.
There are Champions League fixtures scheduled for the midweek of September 8/9, whereas the Europa League is to be played the following week.
UEFA fixtures cannot be moved so teams involved in the Champions League will play the midweek of September 15/16/17, while Europa League-involved sides will play the week before.
As a result, clubs in Europe could not be drawn against each other in the third round.
