Arsenal have been drawn away to Ipswich Town in the third round of the Carabao Cup, with Mikel Arteta’s side set to travel to Portman Road.
The Premier League champions enter the competition at this stage because of their involvement in Europe and discovered their opponents following Wednesday night’s second-round fixtures.
An exact date and kick-off time for the tie have yet to be confirmed.

Arsenal draw Ipswich in Carabao Cup third round
Arsenal have officially confirmed that they will face Ipswich at Portman Road as they begin another attempt to win the League Cup.
The third round will be spread across the weeks beginning 7 September and 14 September because of European fixture commitments.
Arsenal supporters had already known Arteta’s side would play away following the special pre-draw held earlier on Wednesday.

Arteta will hope Arsenal can go one step further after reaching Wembley last season.
The Gunners advanced to the 2025/26 Carabao Cup final before Manchester City beat them 2-0, with Nico O’Reilly scoring twice.
Ipswich now provide the first obstacle in this season’s competition.
