The New York Giants received a bit of a scare on Wednesday. Wide receiver Malik Nabers left practice early, and many feared he had suffered some sort of injury. Coming off an ACL tear in 2025, the concern was especially heightened.

However, this appears not to be the case. Head coach John Harbaugh addressed the matter for reporters. He said that, whatever the reason for his early departure, he received no word that Nabers sustained an injury.

“It wasn't part of the plan. I'll find out what was going on. I'm sure it's something with the trainers. There's no injury. We talk afterwards — we always get the injury report right after and there was no talk about Malik that way,” the Giants head coach said, via Dan Duggan of The Athletic.

As mentioned, Nabers went through a significant injury in 2025. He tore his ACL in September last year. In October, he underwent surgery to repair the ligament in his knee. He has been hard at work recovering from the injury since.

Nabers was stellar as a rookie, racking up 1200 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in his debut season. The Giants star was on track for another fantastic year before the ACL injury, as well.

Unfortunately, the Giants could not recover from Nabers's injury. New York had some bright spots, with quarterback Jaxson Dart and running back Cam Skattebo providing promising flashes. Unfortunately, New York still missed the playoffs.

Thankfully, it appears Nabers has avoided another significant injury. Hopefully, the young pass catcher left practice early as a precaution, and any worst-case scenario has been avoided.
