It was no secret that the Buffalo Bills‘ offense lacked a true No. 1 wide receiver for superstar quarterback Josh Allen following the 2025 NFL season. So, what did the team do? They immediately addressed it during the offseason.
Buffalo sent a 2026 second-round pick to the Chicago Bears in exchange for Moore and a 2026 fifth-round pick to land star wide receiver DJ Moore.
Just months into his tenure with the team, Moore is proving that the Bills’ aggression was worth it.
Moore and Allen have wasted no time building a strong connection on the field, and it stems from a growing chemistry off the field. Moore discussed his relationship with the Bills’ leading man while speaking to the media following practice on Wednesday afternoon.

“I think our off-field chemistry, friendship has accelerated the on-field connection, so we talk almost every other play about something, dealing with a route,” Moore said. “You’re having fun with Josh, but when you step on the field, he’s a whole different animal, and you’ve got to lock in yourself because you know he wants to win and win bad.
“In my gut, that’s what I’m willing to do, go out there and win every rep for him, and the rest of the receivers are going to do the same thing, and it’s been fun.”
Throughout limited action during the preseason, Moore has hauled in three of four targets for 61 yards, including a 32-yard reception. The chemistry between the two has been on full display during training camp, and has fans buzzing as the regular season approaches.
Bills Mafia will hope that the strong connection, which Allen has rarely had with a receiver since arriving in Buffalo, will continue to grow and ultimately help Buffalo get over the hump. The Bills will kick off the 2026 campaign on Sunday, September 13, on the road against the Houston Texans.
