Liverpool transfer news as Ismaila Sarr, Yankuba Minteh and Bradley Barcola are among the options for Andoni Iraola and Richard Hughes ahead of next Tuesday's deadline

There are now only six days remaining in the summer transfer window, with Liverpool still in desperate need of more additions in forward areas, in particular.
The Reds are continuing to hold talks with PSG regarding Bradley Barcola, with The Times reporting that 'fresh' conversations have been held in the last couple of days to further bring down the asking price.
But he cannot be the only forward that some in with next Tuesday's deadline edging closer, and Andoni Iraola has not been shy of making that clear. Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today.
Ismaila Sarr (Crystal Palace)
Ibrahim Mbaye was only ever one of a number of players under consideration at Liverpool alongside Barcola. Yankuba Minteh and now Ismaila Sarr have emerged as others, with the clock ticking towards the deadline.
Who will Iraola end up with? He needs at least a couple of forwards, but Liverpool's negotiating position is not exactly strengthened by everyone knowing that...
Crystal Palace boss Pierre Sage has insisted that Sarr is not training at the moment because of an injury rather than transfer interest from elsewhere (Galatasaray is also keen).

"It's always difficult for a player when you’re associated with a club like Liverpool," Sage said ahead of facing Manchester City this weekend (a game in which Sarr won't feature).
"The most important thing is to understand the player is not able to play and is in treatment," Sage added. "What happens with his future is really far from me."
Liverpool.com says: Sarr would be a very odd signing. He is 28 and will cost a fortune given he still has three years left on his contract. There are better options out there even at this stage.
Yankuba Minteh (Brighton)
After seeing two bids worth $68 million (£50 million) and $82 million (£60 million) turned down for Minteh, will Liverpool move on? It remains to be seen.
Brighton has set the asking price at a whopping $108 million (£80 million), which feels excessive. As mentioned, however, the Seagulls have the advantage of being in no rush to sell to a team desperate for reinforcements.
"We know that he has an issue with his ankle," Fabian Hurzeler said when he was asked for an update on Minteh's injury earlier this week, with no exact return date confirmed yet.

"We have to see how the next weeks are going, how this will develop because, of course, he is an important player for us.
"But we saw (against Aston Villa that) we are able to replace him. It is very important that we don’t rely on one player. Of course, these kinds of players are so important. One against one, good speed.
"But, in the end, you need to face adversity. You need to find solutions as a team and that is what my team did today. Hopefully, Yankuba comes back as quick as possible."
Liverpool.com says: Minteh would be a better option than Sarr, given he is six years younger. He also appears to be a better stylistic fit. Time is running out, though, and something needs to change soon.
