Liverpool look like they have finally got their man with a deal agreed between the Reds and Paris Saint-Germain for the transfer of Bradley Barcola, GIVEMESPORT understands.
The French international has been heavily linked with a move to Merseyside all summer but, crucially, he remained a PSG player as we edged ever closer to Tuesday's 11pm transfer deadline, until there was a breakthrough in negotiations on Wednesday night.
Liverpool have had a rather quiet summer in comparison to 12 months ago when they splashed the cash to bring the likes of Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz to the club.
As things stand right now, Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz and Ifeanyi Ndukwe are the Reds' only signings for the 2026/27 campaign.

Andoni Iraola's team could do with a squad boost at present as they bid to right the wrongs of last term and get back to challenging for the Premier League title, and it looks like they will tie up a sensational deal for their number one target in Barcola between now and the transfer window closing on Tuesday.
GMS understands that the agreement between Liverpool and PSG is for a deal initially just over £100million, which could rise to the £120million mark with add-ons.
GMS also understands that at one stage during the summer, PSG were demanding £145millilon, a fee Liverpool were not willing to go to, informing the French champions they were not prepared to break their own transfer record of £125million.

And that breakthrough has now come with the news that an agreement has been reached in principle, following a breakthrough in talks between the two clubs overnight.

In Iraola's first competitive game in charge, the Reds utilised a 4-2-3-1 formation which featured an attacking trio of Rio Ngumoha, Wirtz and Cody Gakpo behind Isak in attack.
Barcola, once he joins the club before the deadline, would be an automatic starter in the final third, taking his place on the left flank.
Gakpo, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham this summer, would be the unlucky player to miss out in this scenario to accommodate Barcola.
The French international can also play from the right flank if required, although he has only played there 37 times during his career with a few appearances here and there each season since making his Ligue 1 debut for Lyon back in 2021/22.
The exciting Ngumoha may well keep his place on the right for the foreseeable future following Mohammed Salah's summer exit.
That in turn would give Iraola an eye-catching front four of Ngumoha, Wirtz, Barcola and Isak as the Reds look to win top honours again after such a challenging 2025/26 season.
