Liverpool are now close on an agreement for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola after offering to pay a ‘guaranteed fee just about £100m’ for his signature, according to journalist Paul Joyce.
Barcola is keen to make the move to Anfield and has already signed off on becoming a Liverpool player before the window closes.
Agreeing a fee with PSG though has proven to be much tougher and the French giants have been holding out for £120m.

It now appears Liverpool have virtually given into PSG’s demands for Barcola and they are closing in on snapping him up as a result.
The Reds have offered a guaranteed fee which comes in at just above £100m, while there is a further offer of £20m in add-ons to follow, making for a total package of £120m.
How easy or difficult to achieve the add-ons in the Barcola deal are remains to be seen, but PSG will want their full asking price to be met for the France winger.
PSG were initially asking Liverpool for £145m before reducing the price.

There remain aspects of the deal that still need to be negotiated, but Liverpool will be hopeful of having Barcola in through the door before the transfer window closes next week.
He has been a key target for Andoni Iraola, but Liverpool still want a second winger to come in.
Barcola’s PSG team-mate Ibrahim Mbaye has been chased by Liverpool and has a personal term agreement with the Reds.
Liverpool though will not meet his asking price, believing it to be too high.
The Merseyside giants have also bid for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh, but the Seagulls’ £80m price tag is again considered by the club to be excessive.
If Liverpool fail to sign another winger beyond Barcola then that could put an exit for Cody Gakpo in doubt, amid the Dutchman being chased by both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
