Most remember the New York Giants' infamous offseason NFL Hard Knocks appearance, which included inside looks at their failed negotiations with Saquon Barkley, and now, HBO is bringing the show back.
The Athletic reports that HBO is bringing offseason Hard Knocks back for the first time since 2024. However, in a surprising twist, it will focus on four teams in a division instead of one team.
This is similar to the in-season version of the show, which has followed a division in its last two seasons. The AFC North and NFC East have been followed in 2024 and 2025.
Speaking of the in-season version of Hard Knocks, there will not be a new season of it in 0226. The offseason will replace the in-season version this year.

According to The Athletic, “no one team wanted to follow the Giants” following their appearance in 2024. In turn, HBO pivoted and decided to focus on an entire division.
Don't expect to learn about the division that will be focused on in offseason Hard Knocks for a while. The Athletic notes that it probably won't be announced “until the series is ready to air.” However, fans can probably rule out the AFC North and NFC East since they were part of the in-season Hard Knocks. This might be a blessing in disguise for the Giants.
The next season of offseason Hard Knocks will probably air in late May or early June 2027 and lead into training camp. Expect “six to eight episodes” in the upcoming season.
Currently, the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks are the subject of the training camp Hard Knocks. Next year, the team they defeated in Super Bowl 60, the New England Patriots, will be the focus of the training camp show.
