Growing up in Southern California, Los Angeles Rams' Trent McDuffie turned out to be an elite, highly versatile cornerback. Right through high school, he ran track with a record time and was outstanding in the long jump as well. And there are lessons he learned firsthand while making it to an NFL superstar.
Recently, during one of the Rams youth football camps, McDuffie shared his top three non-negotiables. The Rams senior NFL writer for The Athletic, Nate Atkins, captured the moment when the two-time Super Bowl champion delivered his speech to young aspiring players.

The heartfelt interaction comes amid the Rams' youth engagement and community-building camps they are organizing across the country. According to the Rams website, the team hosted the youth camp to facilitate more than 3,000 student-athletes through 20 Youth Football Camps that ran from April to July.
High school students get the chance to interact with their favorite football players, seek guidance, and adopt a professional player's mentality. Through the program, the Rams also organize giveaway events and distribute memorabilia autographed by the NFL superstars on the team.
With the regular season starting earlier next month in September, McDuffie and his teammates are making time to give it back to the community. The Rams are coming off a successful preseason stretch where they won two games, and they will conclude the preseason with a game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
It was also a great opportunity for the team to test their men in the defensive unit before they head into a full-fledged regular season.
