Barcelona, Spain – Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has revealed the squad called up for tonight’s La Liga match against Athletic Bilbao.
Barcelona will host Athletic Bilbao at Camp Nou in a rescheduled match from the first round of La Liga. The Catalan team will be looking to secure another victory to strengthen their start to the competition.
Barcelona had secured a resounding victory in their previous match, defeating Elche 5-0 on Sunday. This win continues their strong run in the tournament.
Barcelona’s squad saw Egyptian striker Hamza Abdel Karim remain on the bench for the second consecutive La Liga match, having been an unused substitute against Elche.
The 18-year-old hopes to make his official debut for the Catalan club. He also hopes to get some playing time against Athletic Bilbao, having impressed during preseason.
The list also included Rodri, who recently joined Barcelona from Manchester City. His appearance against Athletic Bilbao will be his first in the Catalan club’s shirt.
The squad list also saw the return of Alejandro Balde after he missed the Elche match. Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl around the Spanish full-back’s future and the possibility of him leaving Barcelona during the current transfer window.
