Liverpool’s summer transfer business may not be finished just yet after agreeing on a deal to sign Bradley Barcola from PSG.
Barcola appears set to become a Liverpool player after the club finally struck an agreement with PSG on Thursday morning for a fee worth up to $163 million (£120 million), including $136 million (£100 million) guaranteed.
While FSG will be feeling good after finally getting a deal over the line for the 23-year-old French winger, there are still a number of transfer targets the club is pursuing, including Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr, in an effort to continue bolstering Andoni Iraola’s squad.
Barcola joining is also believed to have a direct impact on Cody Gakpo’s future at Anfield, given that both players’ preferred position is on the left wing.
The latest transfer betting odds point to Gakpo leaving Liverpool before the end of the summer window, which shuts on Sept. 1. The Dutchman is a -175 shot to join Tottenham, while him staying at Liverpool is given +110 odds.
Gakpo has looked sharp in the early goings of this season, scoring Liverpool’s first goal in the 2-2 draw at Newcastle to open the Premier League season. He joined the Reds ahead of the 2022-23 campaign and has logged 51 goals and 21 assists in 181 total appearances for the club.
If Gakpo leaves, it could open the door for Liverpool to add another attacker, including Brighton’s Minteh or Crystal Palace’s Sarr.

The Reds have already had two bids for Minteh, worth $68 million (£50 million) and $81 million (£60 million), rejected by the Seagulls, who value the Gambian winger at $109 million (£80 million).
The latest betting odds suggest Minteh will remain a Brighton player this window, with a -600 shot he stays put compared to +350 odds he transfers to Liverpool.
With the asking price currently too high, the Reds have turned their attention to Sarr, who is believed to be eyeing a move away from Crystal Palace by the end of the transfer window.
Fabrizio Romano reported that Liverpool submitted a bid of $68 million (£50 million) to Crystal Palace for the Senegalese attacker, who netted 21 goals last season, although contrasting reports suggest no official bid has been made.
At present, Sarr is given -200 odds to become a Liverpool player, compared to a +200 shot he goes to any Saudi Arabian club.
Considering the contact between clubs is still believed to be in the early stages, the true likelihood of Sarr coming to Anfield will likely become clearer in the coming days.
