Liverpool's Champions League draw has been completed, with Andoni Iraola finally discovering who his team will face in the league phase of the competition.

The 2026/27 Champions League is on the way, and Liverpool has discovered its opponents for the upcoming league phase of the season.
Since the introduction of the new format, which involves eight matches and a league table that brings all of the teams together, the Reds have excelled in the early phase.
The first campaign brought about a first-place finish, while last season saw the team finish third in the overall standings, showing how well Liverpool has done in the league campaign at the very least.
There have been greater troubles in the knockouts, where eventual winner Paris Saint-Germain has knocked the Reds out in successive campaigns, but there is hope that things could be different under Andoni Iraola.
Before reaching that stage, however, the new manager must first navigate through the league stage, with eight important games coming up.
So, with that said, here's a look at the teams Liverpool has drawn in the Champions League for this season.
Atletico Madrid (Home)

Liverpool and Atletico Madrid are well acquainted at this point, with the two sides facing off plenty of times during the Champions League in recent history.
The two teams were drawn against each other last season at Anfield in the opening match of the league phase, where goals from Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil van Dijk sealed an intense 3-2 victory for the Reds.
They will be hoping for more of the same again, in what will be another huge clash at Anfield.
Inter Milan (Away)

A match at the San Siro is on the cards for Liverpool again, with Inter Milan hosting the Reds in another repeat of the pot one draw from last season.
On that night, a late Dominik Szoboszlai penalty proved the difference, but there have been some changes to both sides in the time since.
Most notably, former Liverpool star Curtis Jones made the move to Inter Milan this summer, in what now sets up a reunion with him.
Porto (Home)

From pot two, Liverpool has drawn Portuguese side FC Porto at home, in what will be the eighth meeting between the two sides in Champions League history.
The Merseyside outfit is unbeaten against the visitors, picking up six wins and two draws in that time, the latest coming in the 2021 group stages.
Club Brugge (Away)
For the first time in years, Liverpool will play against Club Brugge, in what will only be the second meeting between the two clubs in the top competition of European football.
The Reds ran out as 1-0 winners over the Belgian side in the 1978 European Cup final, and there will be hope that they can recreate the sort of run that brought about that success.
Villarreal (Home)
Spanish opposition will be welcomed to Anfield this season, as Villarreal is back in the Champions League once again, and looking to put together an impressive run.
The last time the two teams faced off was in 2022, with two semi-final matches that thrilled the neutral, and led to Liverpool booking a place in the final with a 5-2 aggregate scoreline.
Fenerbahce (Away)
Turkish opposition caused some problems for Liverpool last season, with Galatasaray getting the better of Arne Slot's team twice out of three meetings, and Fenerbahce will be looking to do the same.
Fenerbahce snuck into the competition through the playoffs, beating French side Lyon in the process, booking a huge clash with the likes of Liverpool on the way.
Lens (Home)
French side Lens has been in and out of the Champions League through its history, with an impressive campaign last time out helping to book it a place in this season's competition.
The side managed to challenge PSG to the Ligue Un title, but narrowly missed out on lifting it, though it did earn a place in the European competition as a result.
LASK (Away)
Round off the teams from pot four is a debutant, as LASK of Austria booked itself a place in the competition with a dramatic win in the playoffs.
After being 3-0 down to Celtic after the first leg, and then 1-0 down at the start of the second leg, the home side managed to find four goals and forced extra time, before scoring a winner during the extra 30 minutes.
The schedule for all of these matches will be confirmed later, as the order of them now will not reflect the final fixture dates for Liverpool moving forward.
