**Bradley Barcola is hopefully going to be loved at Liverpool because of his quality, but a former coach has summed up why his character will also be admired.**
The 23-year-old is the Reds’ marquee signing of the summer, following a long pursuit, as Andoni Iraola gets the pace out wide that he is no doubt desperate to have.
It’s now a case of Liverpool hopefully also signing a right winger, as well as a midfielder and a right-back, but it remains to be seen how much of that business is done before the end of the summer transfer window.

_“He’s humble, he’s always happy, but quiet. If you compare him to Rayan Cherki, who also came through the academy at Lyon, it’s the opposite. Even when he was 17, Cherki was the loudest in the dressing room, everyone knew he was there. But Bradley, he was quiet. Bradley was always giving his best and you could see that he wanted to become better and better. I knew he was a good player, but now he’s a top player.”_

Barcola is such an exciting signing for Liverpool, with the Frenchman a two-time Champions League winner with Paris Saint-Germain, and a winger with so much ability.
He is lightning-fast, skilful, and most importantly, he has end product – he [scored 39 goals and registered 37 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.com/bradley-barcola/alletore/spieler/708265) in 152 appearances for PSG – and his best years should still be well ahead of him.
But the fact that Barcola is humble and not just a top player is only going to help endear him to the fans, with Liverpool supporters not admiring arrogance in a character.
Barcola is ready to be the attacking star of the team, rather than a player who didn’t always start every week, and it is going to be fascinating to see how he fares in the Premier League.
Liverpool need to see him flourish, especially given his £120m price tag, and he will hopefully play a key role in Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak hitting top gear, too.
Hopefully, Barcola ends up being every bit as good as Sadio Mane, if not better, and if that happens, the Reds may have a future legend on their hands.
