**Rumours have emerged over Preston North End’s next acquisition.**

It seems that the Lancashire club’s loan acquisition of Chelsea youngster Caleb Wiley is set to be completed ahead of this weekend’s clash with Charlton Athletic.

Initially breaking through at Atlanta United in the MLS, the 21-year old made 77 league appearances for the club before Chelsea snapped him up as part of their BlueCo. project.
A left-back who is progressive and aggressive modern full-back, he can also play as a left wing-back which provides a tactical flexible option for Paul Heckingbottom.
Wiley’s ability to stretch the opposition and link up with wingers supplies Preston with an expansive player who looks to get himself further forward and make crosses into the box.
His work rate is another attribute he was been credited for, with his athleticism licensing Wiley to be an incredibly active and effective player with his recovery pace when it comes to tracking back for counter attacks.
The former Atlanta man will provide depth and a different option for the left hand side of the defence as well as competition for Andrija Vukcevic who has seen himself become the only recognised left-back at the club.
This loan signing would be incredibly exciting for the player and club, as Preston would be receiving a player with tons of ability and potential that is looking to realise that to push on for a call-up for his country and give his parent club something to think about.
