EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) - Police in Ohio released body camera video showing the arrest of the San Francisco 49ers owner during a prostitution sting over the weekend.
John “Jed” York was arrested Sunday in East Palestine after he allegedly responded to an ad posted on a known prostitute website as part of an undercover operation.
The incident report states York messaged the phone number on the ad and advised the undercover officer that he would like to visit.
York messaged the phone number several times before he was provided a meeting address in a mobile home park to engage in sexual activity for $160, investigators said.
When York arrived to the meeting location in a rental car, he was directed by the undercover officer to go back out to the main road and was then stopped by marked police units.
York posted $5,000 bond and pleaded no contest Monday to the charges.

York was sentenced to two days in the Columbiana County Jail and ordered to pay $1,150 in fines.
An expungement request has also been filed, according to the court docket.
“As this is a legal matter, which has been resolved, we will not be providing any further comment at this time,” the San Francisco 49ers said in a statement.
