Highly-rated Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara has reportedly “been offered” to Liverpool and Chelsea in the remaining days of the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been mentioned as a late-summer option for the Reds already this week, with journalist Abdel Hamed talking up the move in a transfer update:
“Regarding Camara and Balogun, the offers are dragging on because the clubs are aware of Monaco’s situation and are waiting for the end of the transfer window. Liverpool, still on the hunt for a 6, would like to make a move for Camara at the last moment. For Balogun at 50 M in stoppage time, he could leave.”
Now, writing on X, Jacobs has added further fuel to the fire regarding Liverpool signing Camara, saying the Senegal international could end up at either the Reds or Chelsea this summer:
“Monaco’s Lamine Camara has been offered to Chelsea and Liverpool as a late window opportunity. Crystal Palace had a bid turned down earlier this month.”

Liverpool’s midfield struggled badly away to Newcastle United in the Premier League last weekend, looking unbalanced and allowing the Magpies to score twice on the counter-attack.
In Camara, the Reds would be signing a perfect addition in the middle of the park, providing more natural defensive nous than Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
He is an influential presence who could be a game-changer for Liverpool, having been hailed as “one of the best midfielders in the world” by Monaco manager Filipe Luis, and further praised by him in recent days:
“From everything that I saw, there is one thing that caught my eye. I have never seen that in 20 years; it’s Lamine Camara. He is a ‘different’ player from what I’ve seen so far. His ability to manage things on the pitch and his concentration. He has a level that is way, way above average.”
To see Chelsea sign Camara instead would be a big blow for Liverpool – they reportedly see him as an ideal replacement for the potentially Manchester City-bound Enzo Fernandez – and Liverpool should push hard to strike a deal in the coming days.
