The waiting is over. Chelsea have confirmed a deal for their new front-of-shirt sponsor.
Chelsea have confirmed their new front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2026-27 season.
Xabi Alonso's side have begun the new campaign with back-to-back wins in all competitions, as Chelsea look to improve on their disappointing 10th-place finish last term, which saw them miss out on European football entirely.
Chelsea's inconsistencies on the pitch since the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital ownership bought the club in May 2022 have led to their failure to secure a long-term front-of-shirt sponsor.
They have previously agreed to temporary deals with Infinite Athlete and IFS, their most recent front-of-shirt partner, but have not secured multi-year deals.
This is partly due to Chelsea's valuation of what they believe they should recoup for the front-of-shirt position. They have valued the sponsorship at more than £50m per season, but companies have not been willing to meet the Blues' asking price, and Chelsea have not been prepared to lower their demands.
Chelsea were in talks with Paramount Plus in 2023, but the Premier League refused permission over concerns it could cause problems for the league's other broadcast partners.
Since then, it has been a continued talking point for the Blues, who have faced constant criticism for the big-money revenue spot.
But now, Chelsea have confirmed an agreement with US-based Circle Internet Group, which will see their USDC (US Dollar Coin) logo on all men's, women's and academy shirts across all competitions for the 2026-27 season.
As per the club announcement, the new partnership sees Circle become a Principal Partner and the official front-of-shirt partner beginning with the 2026/27 season.
The Daily Mail has suggested the partnership is likely to be for an initial year, with the option to extend if both parties are happy to do so.
How much Circle have paid for the slot remains unclear, but it is likely Chelsea have received close to their valuation having held out for so long for the right partner.
In a statement, Chelsea's President, Jason Gannon, said: "This partnership with Circle positions Chelsea at the forefront of football’s digital evolution. We are two organisations fixated by the future and are relentlessly innovating to be in the best position possible for the long-term."
When will Chelsea wear the sponsor for the first time and what does it look like on the kit?
Chelsea have confirmed that the Circle and USDC brands will feature for the first time when the club host Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon at Stamford Bridge.
The logo will match the club's home colours of yellow, with USDC written across the shirt.

It marks an end to Chelsea's search, at least for another year, for a front-of-shirt sponsor.
