We aren’t far away from the end of the 2026 summer transfer window. At the time of writing, clubs in the Premier League and beyond have just five days to finish up their business.
Amongst these clubs are Chelsea and Liverpool. The Blues have been pretty busy this summer, making no less than ten signings, while Liverpool have completed just four.
However, both clubs could now be looking to add one more player to their ranks, after recent transfer developments have come to light in the last few days.
According to transfer specialist Ben Jacobs on his official X (formerly Twitter) page, both clubs have been ‘offered’ the chance to sign Camara in the coming days. Additionally, Crystal Palace had also submitted an offer, but their advances were rejected.

Previously, we reported that Manchester United were also amongst the clubs looking to snap up Camara, but it is unclear if their interest persists.
Additionally, according to TransferFeed, teams such as Aston Villa, Newcastle United Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old.
He’s a man in demand right now – any team willing to sign him may have to fend off some serious competition. A report from GOAL earlier in the month suggests that Monaco would be willing to let him for an offer in excess of £51 million.
That’s quite a hefty fee to pay for someone who is unproven in the Premier League. Still, he has looked very impressive in Ligue 1 and managed to make an impression at the 2026 World Cup for his native Senegal.

Is Lamine Camara ready for a move to the Premier League?
Right now, it’s hard to tell. We have seen many promising young talents move from abroad over the years – not all of them have been successful.
Nevertheless, as a dynamic, hard-working midfielder with fantastic technical ability, Camara appears to tick all the necessary boxes.
He’s also an excellent set-piece taker, giving him yet another feather in his cap. Furthermore, he’s also very strong in the tackle. It’s rare to see such a well-rounded midfielder at such a young age.
While his tackling his powerful, it isn’t always accurate. He does give a few too many fouls away, especially so in the modern game, where turnovers in possession can be vital.
He is a little bit small at just 5ft 6, but there are upsides to ths. It gives him a very low centre of gravity, making him difficult to knock off the ball when in possession.
Right now, we’d say he looks more than ready to duke it out in the Premier League. We’ll have to see if he can mix it up in the truly elite circles, at Chelsea and Liverpool, but we would certainly back him to succeed at the highest level of the game.
