Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has left the door open for a possible departure of winger Yankuba Minteh, who remains a transfer target for Liverpool this summer.
Liverpool have already seen two bids for Minteh rejected by Brighton as they continue to assess their options ahead of the transfer window closing. The Reds initially offered £50 million for the 22-year-old, but Brighton turned down the proposal.

Liverpool then returned with an improved £60m bid, only for Brighton to reject that offer as well. Sky Sports reported that the second proposal fell short of Brighton’s valuation, with the club understood to be seeking a higher fee for the winger.
Minteh is one of several attacking options Liverpool have considered this summer as they look to strengthen their wide areas. The Reds have also maintained an interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
Liverpool have explored alternative targets after Brighton rejected their approaches for Minteh. Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr has also been linked with the Reds, although Palace are understood to be reluctant to sell the Senegal international.
Despite Brighton’s stance over the two bids, Hurzeler has now suggested that Minteh’s future is not completely settled. Speaking ahead of Brighton’s Premier League meeting with Chelsea, the German refused to guarantee that the winger would remain at the club beyond the transfer deadline.
“We had an exchange with him, at the moment, he is definitely a Brighton player. I can’t say anything more, so let’s see what happens,” Hurzeler said when asked about Minteh’s future.
The Brighton manager also stressed that he wants to see full commitment from Minteh if the winger remains at the Amex once the transfer window closes.
“I admire from him that when this window is closed that he is fully committed to this club,” Hurzeler added.
Hurzeler’s comments come with the deadline approaching and Liverpool having already tested Brighton’s resolve with two substantial offers.
The Seagulls are understood to value Minteh considerably higher than the £60m proposal submitted by Liverpool.
Reports have previously suggested Brighton’s valuation was around £70m, while Fabrizio Romano has reported that the deal is currently considered off after the club raised their asking price to £80m.
Yankuba Minteh is also currently sidelined with an injury and is undergoing rehabilitation.
