Jamie O’Hara has claimed Danny Welbeck is a better striker than Viktor Gyokeres. The former Tottenham midfielder made the comment on talkSPORT while discussing Arsenal’s Champions League chances.
“Nah, they ain’t winning the Champions League,” O’Hara said. “I know they got to a final, but at this moment in time, their front three are probably not as good. It’s not as good as last season’s.
“Mate, Danny Welbeck is better than Gyokeres. He’s unbelievable, Danny Welbeck. His stats are brilliant. Danny Welbeck scored 13 goals last season and he got six assists. He had a great season. He’s better than Gyokeres. Danny Welbeck would be playing in front of Gyokeres.”

Welbeck spent five years at Arsenal after joining from Manchester United in 2014 and was released at the end of Unai Emery’s first season in 2019 following persistent injury problems. He later starred for Watford and Brighton before a surprise move to Chelsea this summer at the age of 35.
Gyokeres scored 21 goals in all competitions in his first season at Arsenal and helped the club win the Premier League. He arrived from Sporting CP with a record of 97 goals in 102 games.
