Bradley Barcola will travel to Merseyside to undergo his medical with Liverpool, after a deal worth in the region of £123 million was agreed with PSG.
Liverpool and PSG officials have finalised an agreement for Barcola’s transfer after initially reaching a verbal agreement earlier this week.
The Athletic‘s David Ornstein now reports it will be an initial fee of around £106 million and a further £17 million in add-ons, making the 23-year-old the second-biggest signing in the Reds’ history.
With terms now agreed, Barcola has been granted permission to travel for a medical with Liverpool in the next 24 hours before the transfer is confirmed.

Barcola is understood to have already negotiated personal terms with the club and his switch should be announced in the next day or two.
All being well, he could make his debut in Liverpool’s trip to Ipswich on September 4.
While there is an expectation that Barcola will take the No. 11 shirt last worn by Mohamed Salah, he has described his current No. 29 as “symbolic” and insisted he would “never let it go.”

Liverpool are likely to consider offers for Cody Gakpo now their deal with PSG is lined up, while their next focus in terms of signings will be a new right winger.
PSG‘s Ibrahim Mbaye is now set to join Aston Villa, but the likes of Brighton‘s Yankuba Minteh and Crystal Palace‘s Ismaila Sarr have been considered, with Minteh perhaps the most realistic candidate.
Brighton have already rejected two bids for the Gambian worth £50 million and £60 million as they hold out for a fee closer to the £80 million mark.
