The Premier League summer transfer window is entering the final stages as clubs begin scrambling to complete their business. Liverpool are closing in on the blockbuster initial £107million signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain, and could yet add another two players in addition to the France winger.
Meanwhile, Manchester United want another left-back after bringing in Carlos Baleba this week, while Arsenal are still trying to complete a record transfer for Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez. Tottenham might not be finished after splurging £300m on top-flight talent, and Chelsea and Manchester City are in talks over Enzo Fernandez, who could be reunited with Enzo Maresca for £120m. Here, Express Sport brings you all the latest news and updates from the window before Tuesday's deadline...
Aston Villa to complete Ibrahim Mbaye transfer
Paris Saint-Germain have given permission for Ibrahim Mbaye to complete his move to Aston Villa.
TalkSPORT claim that PSG expect to receive £51million.
That includes a small solidarity payment and another sell-on worth £3m if Mbaye moves to another club.
Villa struck an agreement yesterday with PSG as they go about replacing Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins.
Cody Gakpo message to Tottenham
Liverpool have sent a clear message to Tottenham over a prospective transfer for Cody Gakpo.
Spurs want to add one more attacking player for Roberto De Zerbi, having signed both Omar Marmoush and Savio from Manchester City this week.
But Gakpo is starting for Liverpool today against Forest and appears to be part of Andoni Iraola's plans.
A deal for Bradley Barcola may not impact Gakpo either, with the Netherlands star operating from the right flank today, opening the door for Barcola to play in his favoured left-wing role.
Nottingham Forest want Everton transfer
Nottingham Forest are working on a £40million deal to sign Everton midfielder Harrison Armstrong.
The Athletic claim that talks are advancing on a deal to sign the 19-year-old as a potential replacement for Elliot Anderson.
Armstrong started and grabbed an assist in Everton's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend.

Julian Alvarez snubs Arsenal
Julian Alvarez has reportedly spoken to Mikel Arteta and said he does not want to join Arsenal.
The Athletic reporter David Ornstein, speaking on HBO Max during coverage of Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest, insists that a move is now extremely unlikely.
Arsenal do not want Alvarez if he is not open to a move.
Alvarez is set on joining only Barcelona if he leaves Atletico Madrid.
Liverpool medical booked
Liverpool have booked a medical for Bradley Barcola as he finalises a £123million move to the Premier League.
The Reds struck an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday and are set to pay an initial £106m, with a further £17m in add-ons.
The transfer is expected to go through this weekend, provided there are no issues with the France winger's medical.
Barcola will undergo his Anfield medical either today or tomorrow.
Arsenal deadline for Julian Alvarez
Arsenal have just hours to convince Julian Alvarez to move to north London.
Sky Sports claim that Atletico Madrid want the striker's future resolved by Sunday.
Alvarez has maintained that he wants to join Barcelona, but Atletico are adamant that they will not negotiate with their La Liga rivals.
The Gunners are waiting to pounce if Alvarez gives them the green light, but that is yet to arrive.
Ian Maatsen to Man Utd
Manchester United have made a late enquiry for Aston Villa and Netherlands defender Ian Maatsen.
Footyinsider247 claim that Maatsen has been turned to as United look to bring in another left-back before the window shuts on Tuesday night.
They have already been rejected by Newcastle's Lewis Hall and Alejandro Balde of Barcelona.
There is not thought to be a huge amount of money available for a new left-back, who would compete with Luke Shaw.
Aston Villa have already lost Youri Tielemans to United this summer.
