Barcelona now know the road they must go through in the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase, with Hansi Flick’s side beginning their European campaign at home before facing a potentially decisive trip to Paris shortly before the first Clasico of the season.

The Blaugrana will open their Champions League campaign against Feyenoord at Spotify Camp Nou on Wednesday, September 9, with kick-off scheduled for 6.45 pm.

Barcelona had already learned the eight opponents they will face in the competition, but UEFA has now confirmed the order of fixtures and dates, giving Flick and his players a clearer picture of the challenges ahead.

The Catalan side will play Manchester City, Aston Villa, Feyenoord and Como at home, while PSG, Sporting CP, Galatasaray and Sabah FK await away from Barcelona.

Barcelona’s 2026/27 UEFA Champions League schedule

The standout fixture from Barcelona’s Champions League schedule is undoubtedly the away match against Paris Saint-Germain.

Matchday Fixture Date

Matchday 1 Barcelona vs Feyenoord September 9

Matchday 2 Galatasaray vs Barcelona October 13

Matchday 3 PSG vs Barcelona October 20

Matchday 4 Barcelona vs Aston Villa November 3

Matchday 5 Sabah FC vs Barcelona November 25

Matchday 6 Barcelona vs Manchester City December 8

Matchday 7 Sporting vs Barcelona January 20

Matchday 8 Barcelona vs Como January 27

Flick’s side will travel to the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, October 20, for Matchday 3, immediately before their anticipated Clasico against Real Madrid.

It is hardly ideal preparation to face one of Europe’s strongest teams before such a significant domestic fixture. Yet, Barcelona have received one small advantage from the calendar.

Real Madrid will not play their Champions League fixture until Wednesday, October 21, when they host RB Leipzig at the Santiago Bernabéu.

That means Barcelona will have an extra day’s rest compared to their rivals ahead of the Clasico.

Barcelona’s first match against Feyenoord is one of two league-phase fixtures scheduled for the earlier 6.45 pm kick-off slot.

The other will come on Matchday 5, when Barcelona travel to face Sabah FK at the Bank Respublika Arena. Every other match on the club’s Champions League calendar will begin at 9 pm.

Barcelona’s full Champions League schedule will give them a series of contrasting tests, ranging from major European nights against Manchester City and PSG to difficult away trips across the continent.

Flick will be particularly aware of the importance of managing his squad throughout the league phase.

The format demands consistency over eight matchdays, with the opening stage stretching from September 2026 until January 2027.
