Chelsea defender Mamadou Sarr has completed a season-long loan move to Real Sociedad, giving the young centre-back another opportunity to gain valuable first-team experience away from Stamford Bridge.
Sarr joined Chelsea from Strasbourg last summer and has since made seven appearances for the Blues across all competitions. One of those outings came during Chelsea’s triumphant FIFA Club World Cup campaign, allowing the defender to experience the demands of competing for major silverware at the highest level.
The move to Real Sociedad will now provide Sarr with the chance to continue his development in La Liga, with regular first-team football expected to be a key objective during his time in the Basque Country.
