Arsenal have renewed their interest in signing Real Madrid forward Endrick, according to reports from TEAMtalk, with the Gunners exploring whether a deal could be possible before the summer transfer window closes.
The Brazilian forward has once again emerged as a potential target for Mikel Arteta’s side as Arsenal continue to look for attacking reinforcements. Recent reports indicate that the north London club have made fresh enquiries regarding Endrick’s situation at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Endrick joined Real Madrid from Palmeiras after establishing himself as one of the most exciting young talents in Brazilian football. The forward’s move to Spain came with huge expectations, although his initial period in Madrid proved difficult as he struggled to secure regular starts.
The Brazilian subsequently spent part of last season on loan at Lyon, where he enjoyed a productive spell and reminded clubs across Europe of his considerable potential.
Endrick scored eight goals and registered eight assists in 21 appearances for the French club, according to recent reports, strengthening his reputation after a frustrating start to life in Spain.
Those performances have reportedly encouraged Arsenal to revisit their interest, with the Gunners understood to be testing whether Real Madrid could be persuaded to consider a transfer.
However, there is a major obstacle standing in Arsenal’s way.
Real Madrid are not currently believed to be willing to let Endrick leave. New head coach Jose Mourinho has publicly made clear that he values the youngster’s ability and wanted him to remain in the Spanish capital this summer.
That stance means Arsenal could face an uphill battle if they attempt to negotiate a permanent deal.
Endrick’s representatives are reportedly open to the possibility of a move, while Arsenal are not alone in monitoring the situation. Several Premier League clubs have been linked with the Brazilian, including Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City, underlining the level of interest surrounding him.
For ARSENAL, Endrick could represent both an immediate attacking option and a long-term investment. His ability to operate across the forward line, combined with his age and previous record in Brazil and France, makes him an attractive proposition.
The Gunners are now understood to be assessing whether there is any possibility of changing Madrid’s position before the transfer deadline.
For now, however, Real Madrid remain in control of the situation and appear determined to keep Endrick at the club.
ARSENAL‘s renewed interest could nevertheless develop into an intriguing late-window storyline, particularly if the player’s representatives push for greater opportunities.
