Arsenal Secure Deal for Georgian Wonderkid Andria Bartishvili

Arsenal have agreed a €4.5million deal to sign highly-rated Georgian midfielder Andria Bartishvili, with the 17-year-old now scheduled to undergo a medical in London.

The Gunners have been pursuing Bartishvili throughout the summer and previously submitted a formal proposal for the Iberia 1999 youngster.

That pursuit has now resulted in an agreement, with Bartishvili set to sign a five-year Arsenal contract before officially moving to north London in 2027.

Andria Bartishvili agrees Arsenal move

Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal have reached an agreement for Bartishvili, with the transfer package worth €4.5million.

The midfielder is expected in London next week for his medical before putting pen to paper on a five-year contract.

Bartishvili will remain away from Arsenal until 2027, when he turns 18.

It represents significant progression from earlier this month, when ReadArsenal reported that Arsenal had made a formal offer for Bartishvili following a two-month pursuit.

At that stage, no agreement had been reached and the teenager still had other options available to him.

Arsenal have now moved to secure one of the emerging talents in Georgian football.

Arsenal secure highly-rated Georgian midfielder

Bartishvili currently plays for Iberia 1999 on loan from Kolkheti 1913.

The Georgian Erovnuli Liga lists the 17-year-old as a midfielder, with Bartishvili recording 16 league appearances, two goals and two assists during the 2026 campaign.

He has also already experienced European football. UEFA lists Bartishvili as having featured for Iberia in European competition this season.

Arsenal’s interest has been persistent.

Recruitment specialist Maurizio Micheli was previously reported to have watched Bartishvili in person as the Gunners stepped up their pursuit during the summer.

The agreement means Arsenal can now plan much further ahead.

Bartishvili will continue his development before moving to England in 2027, but a medical and long-term contract are already lined up as the Gunners secure another highly-rated young prospect.
