JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Another former Arkansas State kicker will be a starter in the NFL.
New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh announced Friday that Dominic Zvada won the kicker competition. The undrafted free agent was 5 for 5 on field goals and 4 for 4 on extra points in the preseason. Zvada connected from 53, 46, and 23 yards in Friday’s 23-6 win over the Jets.
Zvada played for the Red Wolves in 2022 and 2023. The Arizona native connected on 34 of 40 field goals, including a 56 yarder at Texas State. He earned Freshman All-American honors in 2022 and was a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award.
He transferred to Michigan, becoming an AP and Sporting News All-American in 2024 and a two-time All-Big Ten selection in 2024 and 2025. Zvada signed with the Giants as a undrafted free agent on April 25th.
