Chelsea are finalising their incoming and outgoing transfers ahead of the summer window closing next week.

Xabi Alonso's side have been busy in the transfer market this summer following his appointment on a four-year contract.

Chelsea have made a positive start to the season, winning both of their matches - a 3-2 win against Fulham in the Premier League, and a 2-0 victory against Luton Town in the Carabao Cup.

As preparations wrap up to host Brighton and Hove Albion, Chelsea are continuing to negotiate deals, whether for incomings, loans, or permanent exits.

While Emiliano Martinez is on the verge of completing a £7.5 million transfer from Aston Villa, Chelsea have made progress on three other exits.

Caleb Wiley

The 21-year-old has joined Preston North End on a season-long loan for the 2026/27 season.

Wiley was included in Preston's matchday squad against Charlton Athletic.

He spent the second part of the 2025/26 season on loan at Championship side Watford.

Kendry Paez

The 19-year-old's loan move with the Argentine club has been cut short over a lack of game time.

Chelsea are now looking at other loan options in England for the Ecuadorian, so they will hope to finalise a move before Tuesday's deadline.

Paez penned a farewell on Friday to River Plate on Instagram, writing: "Today marks the end of an important chapter for me. I’m taking away so many experiences, lessons learnt and moments that will stand me in good stead for everything that lies ahead in my career.

"Thank you to the club, my teammates, the coaching staff and everyone who was there for me day in, day out.

"And a special thank you to the River fans for the affection they’ve shown me since I arrived. I’ll always cherish that.

"I leave feeling grateful and with the utmost respect for everyone. I wish you all the very best."

Marc Guiu

The 20-year-old is set to leave Chelsea on a permanent deal before the September 1 deadline.

Despite heavy interest from Serie A side Napoli, RB Leipzig have swooped in and agreed a 'secret' deal with Chelsea for the Spaniard.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Guiu will travel to Germany to undergo a medical with the Bundesliga side after 'secret talks' with Chelsea.

Chelsea valued Guiu at £25m this summer, but reports from Sky Germany suggest the Blues will receive around €16-17m plus add-ons for Guiu. The deal includes a sell-on clause.

Guiu becomes the final departure for Chelsea in attack after Alonso chose his three strikers - Joao Pedro, Danny Welbeck and Emmanuel Emegha - to go into 2026-27 with.

Liam Delap was sold to Nottingham Forest, and Nicolas Jackson joined Aston Villa in a deal worth up to £65m. David Datro Fofana is also close to a permanent move to Servette.

After arriving from Barcelona in 2024 for a fee of around £5m, Chelsea will make a healthy profit on the forward, who scored eight goals in 29 appearances in all competitions.
