Social media messages between partners often get read as transfer clues in the final days of the window. Words such as “already missing you” travel quickly among supporters looking for a sign. Nothing is official until the clubs confirm it, but the timing is hard to ignore.
Wingers who have been left out of matchday squads while talks continue usually have one foot out of the door. Saudi clubs that have already added other Premier League attackers keep pushing until the deadline. Families who have lived in London for years prepare for a new chapter.

Gabriel Martinelli appears closer to leaving Arsenal after an Instagram post from Gabriel Magalhaes’ wife to Isabella Rousso, Martinelli’s partner, with the words “already missing you”.

The message has been widely interpreted as a hint that the Brazil international is on his way out. Al-Hilal have been pursuing a deal, with Arsenal seeking a fee in the region of £60million. Martinelli is open to the move after being told clearly about his squad status.
He was left out of the Community Shield and the Premier League opener against Coventry. He rejected Galatasaray earlier in the window and remains under contract until 2027 with an option for a further year.

Arsenal have already signed Christos Tzolis and sold Leandro Trossard. The club remain willing to listen to a substantial offer. Martinelli has made 278 appearances and scored 62 goals since joining from Ituano in 2019.
No official announcement has been made and the Instagram exchange is not confirmation of a completed transfer. It does, however, add to the sense that a departure is imminent.
Supporters will wait for the clubs to speak. If a deal is finalised it would generate significant funds and free space on the left. Further updates are expected before Tuesday’s deadline if Al-Hilal and Arsenal agree terms and the player completes his medical.
Until then it remains a social media clue rather than a done deal, but the mood around Martinelli’s future has shifted again.
