Confirmed: Como win race for Chelsea and Wolves-linked forward Kennedy
Italian Serie A club Como have confirmed the signing of Swedish-born Nigerian forward Zebedee Kennedy from Mjällby AIF in a statement on their official website.
Kennedy attracted interest from several European clubs before Como won the race for his signature.
Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers were among the clubs linked with the 2010-born attacker, alongside Juventus, Bologna and Benfica.
The youngster will initially continue his development with Como's academy, but he is not eligible for registration on the club's Champions League List B squad after completing his move only this month.
A fast and physically strong forward with an eye for goal, Kennedy came through the ranks at Swedish side GIF Sundsvall before joining Mjällby in 2025.
In his first words as a player of Como, Kennedy stated: "I’m very happy to have joined this club and this city. I can’t wait to contribute to the club; I think Como is the perfect place for me to grow."
Zebedee comes from a footballing family, with his elder brother, Zion Kennedy, currently on the books of Sölvesborgs GoIF, while their father represented clubs in Nigeria and Italy before hanging up his boots.
The promising forward has represented Sweden youth teams, scoring 4 goals in 10 matches.
