Moyes 'pleased with a point' as Everton draw at the Vitality

David Moyes reflected on a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth for Everton.
The Toffees took the sting of a late first half goal from Alex Scott at the Vitality Stadium as their hosts searched for their first victory in the Premier League under the leadership of Marco Rose.
But James Tarkowski struck back late in the second half to ensure Everton took home a point.
Unbeaten start preserved
The result retains their unbeaten streak at the start of the season after defeating Crystal Palace 2-0 on the opening matchday last weekend and beating Preston North End 4-0 in the Carabao Cup.
·'We needed somebody to come up with something'
Moyes hailed the resilience of his group, who have the fire in their belly to try and push for European football after falling away in the final weeks of last season.
However, that target will be tough to achieve with the size of their squad — and there are rumours that Iliman Ndiaye may move to Manchester City if Jack Grealish returns to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on a permanent basis.
"I didn't think a goal was coming. We stuck at it, resilient, we were good away from last season so hopefully we can keep it going. We needed somebody to come up with something. We did some amazing blocks late in the game. Pleased with a point.

Transfer window plea
"Might want the transfer window left open so we can get a few more players in! It closes Tuesday, let's see what happens. I have said we could do with strengthening and hopefully we can do that.
"We have a good basis. Let's hope we can build on it. I don't think we can afford to lose any players, certainly not our better ones. The club dictates a lot of that and we will see how the next few days go."
