The New Orleans Saints turned to wrestling humor after beating the Dallas Cowboys 27-24 in a preseason clash.

A fan had warned before kickoff that this was just a “warning shot” and the Cowboys would return stronger next week.

Once the Saints won, their Twitter account fired back with a WWE meme showing Solo Sikoa dodging a warning shot from Jey Uso.

The clip refers to Monday Night RAW, where Sikoa and LA Knight faced The Usos, though the match ended in a no contest after Royce Keys and OTM interfered.

During a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray and former WWE star Nic Nemeth discussed Big Cass’ WWE return, which led them to talk about Enzo Amore too.

Bully Ray said Enzo has grinded on indie shows and social media, and claimed that he now cuts promos better than most of the current WWE roster.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

Bully Ray on a possible WWE return for Enzo Amore: “I still want Cass to be given more opportunities to get over on his own because if he can, WWE could use one of those traditional big men. He’s seven feet tall, you can’t teach that. But if it doesn’t work, I always think, in case of emergency, you can break glass and call Enzo in. I think Enzo got a very, very, very bad rap years ago when that situation happened with him. I think Enzo has done a phenomenal job on his own, grinding, pumping the indies, doing whatever he possibly can to keep his name out there, the use of social media.”

Bully Ray on Enzo Amore’s promo skills: “And as we both know, the guy can talk. And as of right this very moment, where he’s probably either in Asbury Park or in Hoboken, New Jersey, he’s a better talker right now, with only social media exposure, than 99 percent of the guys on the main roster.”

Nic Nemeth on Enzo: “Since my WWE run, I’ve been in the ring with him a few times. I’ve been on shows with him, and it’s like, the dude, not only can he get his catchphrase and things he does, he rubs people the wrong way in a pro wrestling way, in an awesome, awesome way.”

Nic Nemeth on why Paul Heyman doesn’t mention ECW: “On social media, you’ll never really see Paul Heyman talk about ECW or acknowledge ECW unless Bubba does it first. We did it. We know what we did. It’s over. It’s dead. It’s buried. People want to chant the letters ECW forever? God bless them. We love you for it. All of those great memories that live from the past.”

“What have you done for me lately? What are you doing right now? Because memories of the past don’t put ***** in seats today. Paul Heyman isn’t employed by the WWE… because of his past. It’s what he’s doing now for the company now in front of the camera and behind the camera.”
