Arsenal have [confirmed](https://www.arsenal.com/news/axel-donczew-completes-arsenal-move-aFmnW7M6SWf8) the signing of Axel Donczew from Cardiff City.
The 16-year-old, who mainly plays as a left winger, joins on scholarship terms and will sign a professional contract when he turns 17 in February next year.
A Wales U19 international, Donczew made two senior appearances for Cardiff in the EFL Trophy last season. He was also named on the bench against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.
Arsenal were in need of attacking reinforcements at U18 level and it is hoped that the arrival of Donczew will help greatly in that regard.
