Writing on his Patreon, reporter Alan Nixon states Rovers have made an enquiry into a potential loan for Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott. The 23-year-old is back at Anfield after a tough loan at Aston Villa and needs a move, so his former loan club have put the feelers out.

Elliott is reluctant to drop to the Championship but needs game time and also has interest from Valencia. Patrick Roberts remains a target for Mowbray and co but he will be expensive, even on a temporary deal.
