Everton fans look to have got their way as Harrison Armstrong's proposed move to Nottingham Forest is reportedly no longer on the cards.
John Percy of The Telegraph reports that a deal appears to be off despite the Toffees accepting a £35 million plus add-ons bid from Forest. The young English midfielder had been given permission to travel and complete the move, but the Merseyside outfit's owners have had a change of heart.
It's noted that fan reaction to Armstrong's potential sale played a 'major factor' in the club's decision to pull the plug. Supporters were heard chanting for the higher-ups not to sell their academy gem following a 1-1 draw away to Bournemouth on Saturday.

While many Premier League fans were stunned at the money Forest were offering for Armstrong, Evertonians made it clear that they didn't want the 19-year-old sold. He is one of their most exciting prospects and has made an impressive start to the season in a win over Crystal Palace and a draw against Bournemouth.
Armstrong spent the first half of last season on loan at Preston North End but returned midway through due to a lack of options in Moyes' squad. He has since earned regular first-team football and caught the eye with standout displays in the middle of the park.
There are huge hopes for Armstrong to become the latest superstar to emerge from Finch Farm and follow in the footsteps of the likes of Wayne Rooney and Anthony Gordon. His performances haven't gone unnoticed as Forest were keen to take him to the City Ground to help address Elliot Anderson's exit.
Armstrong now looks set to stay with his boyhood club, and it's a decision that has gone down well with fans. They have endured constant setbacks and controversial decisions from their higher-ups over the years and will view this as a sign that their owners are listening to them.
