Mikel Arteta will enter exclusive Premier League territory when Arsenal face Aston Villa on Monday night, taking charge of his 250th league match for the club.
Only nine managers have previously reached 250 Premier League games with one club.
More significantly, Arteta reaches the landmark having transformed Arsenal from a side outside the Champions League places into defending Premier League champions.

Arteta replaced Unai Emery in December 2019 with Arsenal facing one of the most uncertain periods of their modern history.
Almost seven years later, he heads to Villa Park with an extraordinary record behind him.
According to Opta’s analysis of Arteta’s 250-game Arsenal milestone, his first 249 Premier League matches produced 150 wins, 48 draws and 51 defeats.
That gives the Arsenal manager a win rate of 60.2 per cent.
Among managers to reach 250 Premier League games with one club, only Pep Guardiola, Sir Alex Ferguson and Jurgen Klopp possess a better win percentage.
Guardiola leads the group at 70.8 per cent, followed by Ferguson at 65.2 per cent and Klopp at 62.6 per cent.
Arteta will also become only the second Arsenal manager to reach the milestone after Arsene Wenger.
The other names on the exclusive list include David Moyes at Everton, Alan Curbishley at Charlton and Harry Redknapp at West Ham.
That company illustrates how unusual Arteta’s longevity has become in the modern Premier League.

Arsenal patience has been rewarded
The numbers become more significant when considering where Arteta’s reign appeared to be heading during its difficult early stages.
Arsenal finished eighth in each of his first two full seasons around the job and spent considerable periods outside European competition.
Rather than changing direction, the club backed Arteta through a major rebuild.
The eventual reward was Arsenal’s first Premier League title since 2004 last season.
Arteta now enters his 250th league fixture attempting to achieve something Arsenal have not managed since the 1930s by successfully defending the English championship.
His current squad reflects just how far the project has developed.
Arsenal opened their title defence by beating Coventry City 3-0 and have strengthened further this summer, while Arteta now faces selection decisions involving Bruno Guimaraes and Ezri Konsa ahead of Monday.

Aston Villa could make Arteta work for landmark win
There would be a fitting symmetry to Arteta reaching the milestone against former Arsenal manager Emery.
But Villa Park has hardly been a comfortable destination for the Gunners.
Opta’s Aston Villa versus Arsenal preview notes that Villa have won four of their seven Premier League home matches against Arsenal since returning to the top flight in 2019.
The numbers nevertheless make Arsenal clear favourites on Monday.
Opta’s supercomputer gives Arteta’s side a 61.1 per cent chance of victory, compared with 22.7 per cent for a draw and 16.2 per cent for a Villa win.
Victory would therefore provide an appropriate way for Arteta to mark game number 250.
The landmark itself already says plenty.
Premier League managers rarely receive enough time to oversee 250 matches at one club. Arteta has not merely survived long enough to reach that number.
He reaches it as a Premier League champion trying to make Arsenal the dominant force in English football once again.
