Palmeiras winger Allan is currently in Manchester finalising his move to Man City, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said that the Brazilian is expected to complete his move to the Etihad Stadium imminently:
“Allan [has] already arrived in Manchester. Today, time for the formalities and then the announcement. Allan, 22-year-old Brazilian winger from Palmeiras. Man City pay 40 million euros plus for him.”
€40m works out at around £34.2m, which is not a massive amount considering what other forwards and wingers have been going for this summer.
What do Man City fans need to know about the player?
Allan came through the ranks of Palmeiras before making his senior debut against Portuguesa in the Paulista State Championships in January 2025.
The forward has gone on to make 96 appearances at first-team level, scoring 9 goals and contributing 12 assists. He is predominantly left-footed and prefers to play off the right flank.
There are definitely similarities between Allan and Savinho, who has recently left City for Tottenham in a deal worth more than £75m.
Allan is not the only winger who could be signed
Omar Marmoush has joined Savinho at Spurs, and that means head coach Enzo Maresca doesn’t have a whole host of wide options at the moment, even when you take into account the Palmeiras star’s arrival.
Another winger is set to be targeted in the last few days of the transfer window, with Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo emerging as a top target.
Romano claims that talks between the Cityzens and the Dutchman’s representatives have been taking place in recent days, but he will only be allowed to leave Anfield if a replacement can be found first.
The main alternative to Gakpo is thought to be Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye. City, Manchester United and Arsenal have all been linked with the Senegalese international over recent weeks.
