As NFL team’s trim their active rosters down to the final 53-man requirement, there will be a number of players that will be hitting the league’s waiver fire and thus, subject to potential claim (or even signing) by the Indianapolis Colts.
Specifically, with the acquisition of backup center Sedrick Van Pran-Granger earlier Sunday morning, the Colts still project to be very active at offensive tackle, defensive tackle, and cornerback among other potential positions.
The multi-step cutdown format from recent offseasons is no longer in effect, as NFL teams make their final wave of releases all at once after the preseason concludes.
**Under Four Accrued Seasons:** Players with four or fewer accrued NFL seasons are placed on league waivers when released. Other teams can claim them in reverse order of the previous year’s NFL draft standings, which we have denoted below. Claims must be submitted by Monday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
**Vested Veterans:** Players with four or more accrued seasons bypass waivers entirely and become immediate unrestricted free agents, and are available to sign with any interested league suitor, without further restriction.
