The Miami Dolphins acquired quarterback Kyle McCord in a trade with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Packers acquired a 2028 sixth-round pick in exchange for McCord, the sources told Schefter.
McCord becomes starting quarterback Malik Willis’ new backup with the Dolphins. Miami traded Quinn Ewers to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday and waived Cam Miller on Sunday, a source told Schefter.
The pick headed to the Packers is the same one acquired by the Dolphins in the trade that sent Ewers to Jacksonville.
McCord impressed during the preseason for Green Bay, completing 65.7% of his pass attempts for 446 yards and four touchdowns.
He had signed with the Packers in January after spending the 2025 season on the practice squad of the Philadelphia Eagles, who drafted him in the sixth-round last year.
The Packers signed veteran Tyrod Taylor in the offseason to be the backup to starter Jordan Love.
