Arsenal are not pursuing a deal for Real Madrid forward Endrick despite recent reports linking Mikel Arteta’s side with the Brazilian, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners had been credited with opening discussions with Real Madrid and testing the Spanish club’s resolve over the 20-year-old.
However, Romano has now delivered a decisive update which pours cold water on the prospect of Endrick moving to the Emirates before the transfer window closes.

Fabrizio Romano shuts down Arsenal Endrick transfer
Romano states that Arsenal are not working on a deal for Endrick and do not consider the striker a transfer target.
Real Madrid’s position is equally firm.
The Spanish giants have decided Endrick will remain at the Bernabeu, with president Florentino Perez, Jose Mourinho and the club’s wider management all supporting that stance.
Endrick himself also has no intention of leaving.
The latest information directly challenges reports from earlier this week which suggested Arsenal had approached Real Madrid.
talkSPORT previously reported that Arsenal had initiated discussions over Endrick, with the Gunners considering whether Madrid’s attacking competition could create an opportunity.
talkSPORT’s original report said Arsenal had made an approach to test Mourinho’s determination to retain the youngster.
Real Madrid make Endrick decision
Madrid’s position has remained consistent despite enquiries from several clubs.
Romano had already reported on Friday that Real Madrid wanted Endrick to stay and that the Brazilian had no intention of seeking a move elsewhere.
The fresh update goes further by specifically ruling Arsenal out of the race.
Liverpool have also explored Endrick’s availability, according to Romano, but Madrid rejected their enquiry as well.
For Arsenal, attention will therefore have to remain elsewhere as Arteta and Andrea Berta assess whether another attacking addition is possible before the deadline.
The Gunners have already seen Julian Alvarez reject a move to north London, while Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are both heading towards major departures.
Unless Arsenal’s position changes dramatically, Endrick can now be removed from that list of potential late-window solutions.
