Liverpool's goalkeeping ranks could be set for some major changes over the next year, with decisions to be made on several options in the position.
Alisson Becker is now in the final year of his contract with the club, with links surrounding the Brazilian and a potential switch to Serie A once he becomes a free agent.
While Giorgi Mamardashvili was lined up as a potential long-term replacement for the goalkeeper, there have been concerns over whether he has shown enough so far to warrant the position at Liverpool.
Add to that the late links to a switch to Nottingham Forest, and there are decisions to be made over the possible No. 1 and No. 2 options within the team in the near future.

Who is Lucca Brughmans?

Lucca Brughmans is a goalkeeper who plays for Belgian Pro League side Genk. He was born on June 27, 2008, which makes him just 18 years old at the time of writing.
Brughmans was born in Belgium and represents the Belgian youth teams, competing for them from the under-15 level all the way to the under-19s in the most recent international break. The youngster does have Congolese descent, which means he could represent the national team, but has so far opted for his country of birth.
Standing at six feet and seven inches tall, or approximately two meters tall, the Belgian youth international is an intimidating figure between the sticks.

Brughmans is still at the early stages of his career at just 18 years old, having made his way through the Genk academy and featuring for Jong Genk.
A chance in senior, top-level football in 2024 has seen him earn the occasional moments to shine, making 15 appearances so far for the Genk first team.
While it certainly suggests there is clear talent for the youngster, there may be concerns over the lack of experience in his career so far.
Liverpool transfer links
The links with a move to Liverpool emerged after journalist Sacha Tavolieri revealed that the Reds had shown interest in Brughmans, with initial contact with Genk underway.
It's a move that could come as a replacement for Giorgi Mamardashvili, who has been rumored to have interest from Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
It's unclear whether Liverpool will progress with a move at this stage, though Bayern Munich is interested in the young goalkeeper as well.
