CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Browns announced the 2026 53-man roster Sunday ahead of the NFL deadline.
The team placed Dillon Gabriel on injured reserve, meaning he will miss a minimum of four games and will not count against the 53-player limit. Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders and Taylen Green will fill the quarterback room to start the season.
Tight end Joe Royer, who did not participate in training camp, is placed on the reserve/non-football illness list.
The Browns also waived wide receiver [Luke Floriea](https://www.cleveland19.com/2026/08/30/browns-begin-roster-cutdown-northeast-ohio-native-waived/), a Mentor High School and Kent State University graduate.
Jerry Jeudy, Tylan Wallace and Malachi Corley are the two veterans in a young wide receiver group. Rookies Denzel Boston and K.C. Concepcion Jr. join second-year Isaiah Bond.
On defense, Denzel Ward leads a defensive back group with familiar names including Tyson Campbell, Grant Delpit and Ronnie Hickman. The team drafted Emmanuel McNeil Warren from Toledo and signed Mekhi Blackmon in the offseason.
The other 31 teams in the league will have an opportunity to sign any players waived by the Browns before Cleveland can add them to the team’s practice squad.
